Social Scavenger Hunt

So … As you all may or may not know, I am enrolled in Full Sail University taking Internet Marketing to give me a higher educational background on Internet Marketing. Although I have been doing Internet Marketing for years freelance, I came across Full Sails Program and realized the program would be extremely beneficial to me and my clients. I have been having an amazing learning experience in this school. The professors are amazing and have been some of the greatest instructors I have ever had in all my years of schooling.

This semester I am taking Viral Marketing, and it has been fun. For this class we are using a Fictional Company to promote and create a Viral Campaign for. In doing this Viral Campaign I was asked to create a Mock Landing Page to complement the Viral Video I am creating. Below you can see the Mock Landing Page that I have created for this assignment. Any feedback or comments would be appreciated.

Felt like I was dying over and over again …

Sunday night I had an allergic reaction to a medication I was taking. I had gotten up to go to the kitchen an felt lightheaded and collapsed to the floor, my wife helped me up and I collapsed again, again she helps me up and I lean against the dryer in the kitchen and ask for juice thinking maybe my sugar was low. As I started to take a sip my wife said my eyes rolled back in my head and I dropped the carton on the floor spilling juice all over and she caught me as i collapsed again. She left me laying on the floor to call 911, the ambulance came and the paramedics tried to stand me to have me collapse and black out once again. I finally arrived at the hospital where they tried to stand me again to have me collapse again, the feeling was horrible, they had the Blood Pressure cuff on me when the paramedics tried to stand me and at the hospital and both times they said my blood pressure dropped through the floor instantly …. I got extremely cold but my body was sweating profusely … it was scary as shit …

Improv Anywhere strikes again …

“Improv Anywhere Strikes Again” … I came across this great little viral video which was taken at a GEL Conference which is a annual social media event. The speaker introduced starts to announce this new social media platform and asks everyone to turn off their mobile devices as he doesn’t want anyone fining or sharing this before the official announcement later that day. All of a sudden a man jumps up and starts to sing about not being able to be connected to the world, slowly more and more people join in throughout the crowd, followed by a slew of people from outside the auditorium.

I thought they pulled off another great viral media stunt and it shows as it is ranking in the top 20 viral videos of the day.  I think they know how to cause a scene that creates a buzz down to a science. I think with enough imagination a company can pull off similar stunts and create a similar buzz. These type of Improv scenarios are great for a viral marketing campaign, cheap to free to film and if done properly can spread viral anywhere from hours to days depending on how strongly built your social network is and how good the video is.
